The race.

The Carlton Daze 5K Run/Walk takes place on Friday, July 24, 2026, in Carlton, Minnesota. The chip-timed 5K course covers 3.1 miles through Carlton and along the Willard Munger State Trail in Jay Cooke State Park, with two water stops. Registration and check-in run from 4:00–6:00 PM, with the race starting at 6:30 PM; participants must check in at least 30 minutes before start time. Finishers receive medals (awarded to top 3 overall in running and walking divisions for ages 14+, and top 3 boys and girls in running for ages 13 and under) and an optional race t-shirt. Post-race refreshments include bottled water and fresh fruit. The event supports Carlton County Animal Rescue; participants may donate and opt out of a t-shirt to reduce registration cost by $10.
