About the race
The race.
The Cats & Bats Haunted 5K takes place on October 31, 2026, at Festival Park in Aberdeen, Maryland, with an 8:00 am start. The USATF-certified course offers a 5K run/walk option ($30 through September 30, $35 after), a virtual 5K ($35), and a one-mile fun run ($25 through September 30, $30 after). All in-person participants receive a race bib, custom commemorative finisher's medal, shirt, and post-race food and drinks. Packet pickup begins at 6:30 am on race day, with early pickup details to be announced. Age group awards are given for nine categories from 9 & under through 70+, plus overall male and female awards. The event benefits The National PTSD Foundation and will proceed rain or shine with no refunds.
