Chase the Cougar 5K 2026

The race.

Chase the Cougar 5K takes place August 8, 2026, at the Somerset Historical Center in Somerset, PA, with a 9:00 AM start time. The 5K runs on a cross country course. Registration opens at 7:45 AM with a deadline of 8:50 AM; same-day registration is also available. All preregistered participants receive a t-shirt; race-day shirts are available while supplies last, though sizes cannot be guaranteed. Awards go to the top male and female finishers in both run and walk categories across nine age groups ranging from under 12 to 70+. Proceeds benefit the North Star Cross Country team.
