The race.

The Cheese and Sauerkraut 10 Miler takes place December 12, 2026, in Columbia, Missouri, starting at the McBaine Katy Trailhead at Mile Marker 169.5. Participants compete over a 10-mile distance. Before the race, runners predict their finishing time; the runner closest to their prediction wins cheese, while the runner furthest from their prediction wins sauerkraut. Online registration through RunSignUp is required, with no race-day registration available. Participants must arrive by 8:30 AM to submit their time prediction. The entry fee is free for Columbia Track Club members; non-members pay $10.
