Chesterfield Alumni Run 2026

The race.

The Chesterfield Alumni Run returns for its 31st year on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, VA. The event begins at 9:00 AM and is free to enter with required registration opening April 27, 2026. Participants can choose between a 5K cross-country course starting and finishing in the front field near the main entrance, or a 200-yard kids' fun run held in the front field. The first 50 youth finishers receive a gingerbread cookie. The event honors the legacy of Coach Stan Morgan, a co-founder and longtime Midlothian High School coach, with optional donations supporting a local high school track and field or cross-country program in his name. Post-race activities and community gathering take place at the finish.
