About the race
The race.
The Children's Recovery Center hosts its 12th annual 5K run and walk on August 22, 2026, at Morse Landing Park on Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet, SC. A 1-mile run/walk begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:00 a.m. Packet pickup occurs Friday, August 21, from 5–8 p.m. at On The 1/2 Shell restaurant, or Saturday morning starting at 7:00 a.m. at the race venue. Race entry fees range from $15–$40 depending on distance and age group; children 7 and under run the mile free. All finishers receive timing and a shirt. Free breakfast is provided at 9:00 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Children's Recovery Center, a nonprofit serving abuse survivors in Horry and Georgetown Counties.
