The race.

The Chilly Cheeks 5K takes place on October 3, 2026, at Star Ranch in McDade, Texas. The course covers 3 kilometers through woodlands and pastures, followed by 2 kilometers on sand and gravel paths near cabins and cottages, finishing at the resort's pool. Participants receive a light meal at the finish. The event is limited to 200 runners and requires pre-registration with a background check. Additional activities include karaoke, pickleball, cornhole, and complimentary individual photos, plus food truck offerings.
