The race.

The Christmas in July Half Marathon and 5K takes place on July 18, 2026, in Elk Grove Village, IL, with both distances starting and finishing at Busse Forest Boating Center Picnic Grove #25. The half marathon begins at 7:00 a.m. with packet pickup and check-in from 6:00–6:45 a.m., while the 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. with check-in from 7:00–7:45 a.m. Early packet pickup is available Thursday, July 16, from 3:30–6:00 p.m. at Xtra Mile Running Store in Schaumburg, or Friday, July 17, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. near the start/finish line. A post-race celebration begins at 8:20 a.m.
