Club South Runners Freedom Mile 2026

The race.

Club South Runners presents The Freedom Mile on July 4, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The event features a 1-mile point-to-point race ending at the Old State Capitol and a parent-child half-mile out-and-back fun run. On-site registration and packet pickup begin at 7:00 am, with race starts staggered from 8:00 am through 9:20 am across divisions for masters, youth 14 and under, open women, open men, and parent-child participants. A shuttle bus returns runners from the finish to the start for the 1-mile races. Awards include overall male and female winners, masters and grandmasters categories, age-group ribbons for three places in multiple divisions from 15 to 70+, youth ribbons for ages 8–14, and finisher certificates for children in the half-mile fun run.
