The race.
Colin's Joy Project 5K takes place September 26, 2026, in Boston, MA, benefiting Colin's Joy Project, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing play spaces and sponsoring family programming in South Boston. The event includes a 5K race starting at 9:00 a.m., a 100-meter dash for ages 9 and under at 8:15 a.m., and a half-mile race for ages 14 and under at 8:30 a.m. The 5K course is flat and runs along Castle Island and Day Boulevard beaches. The first 250 registered 5K participants receive race shirts, and light refreshments and awards follow the race. Early bib pickup and merchandise sales occur Friday, September 25, from 5:30–7:00 p.m., with race-day registration opening at 7:30 a.m.
