Crane Broiler Festival Chicken Chase 5K 2026

The race.

The Crane Broiler Festival Chicken Chase 5K takes place on August 22, 2026, in downtown Crane, Missouri, with races starting at 7:30 a.m. from Main Street. Participants can choose between a 5K trail run on the city's public gravel trail system, a 1-mile run/walk on paved surfaces with a short gravel section, or a t-shirt-only option. Registration costs $25 for adults, $10 for children ages 7–15, and free for children 6 and under; t-shirts require registration by August 2. Race packets and shirts are available for pickup on Friday during the Broiler Festival or on race morning. Awards are given by age category (10 & under, 11–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60 & up) with male and female winners in each category; no awards are given for the 1-mile walk. Proceeds benefit the Crane City Pool through the host organization, Discover Crane.
