The race.
The Crete Country Christmas Grinch Run is a 5K held in Crete, Illinois on December 5, 2026. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome to participate. All race registrations include a race shirt, and finishers receive fruit, water, and granola at the runner's tent. The event benefits the Crete Food Pantry, and participants are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations. A Breakfast with the Grinch follows the race from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with seating available at 9, 9:30, 10, and 10:30 a.m.
