About the race
The race.
The Crusader Booster Club hosts its first annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on August 22, 2026, in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. All proceeds benefit Wildwood Catholic Academy Athletics. The race takes place on packed sand in an out-and-back beach format, with registration opening at 7:30 am and the start at 8:30 am. The 5K is chip-timed using the DelmoPro Mylaps Bibtag system; the 1 Mile Fun Run is not timed. Awards go to the overall male and female winners and top three finishers in age groups ranging from 13 and under through 70 and over, plus masters categories. Refreshments and an award ceremony follow the race.
