About the race
The race.
The Day of the Dead Half Marathon takes place on October 10, 2026, in Dallas, TX, starting at 8 a.m. at Fair Oaks Park. Five race distances are offered: a 20-yard Kids Dash for children 10 and under, a 1-mile race for all ages, a 3.11-mile course, a 6.55-mile course, and a 13.1-mile half marathon. All finishers receive a medal and race shirt. The post-race celebration at the rally tent includes refreshments, live music, and an awards ceremony recognizing all winners. Aid stations provide water throughout the course. A pre-race costume contest judges participants on creativity and authenticity, with the winner receiving the Day of the Dead Best Costume Award and a prize package.
