Day of the Dead Half Marathon - San Antonio 2026

The race.

The Day of the Dead Half Marathon takes place on October 4, 2026, in Live Oak, Texas, starting at 8 a.m. from Northeast Lakeview College. Six race distances are offered: a 20-yard Kids Dash for ages 10 and under, a 1-mile race, a 3.11-mile race, a 6.55-mile race, a 9.3-mile race, and the full 13.1-mile half marathon. All finishers receive medals and race shirts. A costume contest judged on creativity and authenticity takes place before the race, with the winner announced before the start. At the finish, participants enjoy refreshments and Mexican treats at a rally tent with live music and a DJ announcing finishers. Aid stations provide water and support along the course.
