Join Adelante, Inc. on Sunday, November 1, 2026, for the 3rd Annual Día de los Muertos 5K Run & Walk at beautiful Wicker Memorial Park in Highland, Indiana.
This unique community event brings together runners, walkers, families, and supporters to celebrate the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos while promoting health, wellness, remembrance, and educational opportunity throughout Northwest Indiana.
Whether you're running in honor of a loved one, walking with family and friends, or simply looking to be part of a meaningful community event, everyone is welcome, including your four-legged companions.

More Than a Race The Día de los Muertos 5K is a celebration of culture, community, and remembrance.
Race day activities include:
Zumba warm-up session
Live DJ and music throughout the event
Aztec ceremonial dancers
Día de los Muertos costume contest
Family-friendly atmosphere
Pet-friendly event (dogs must remain on leash)
Registration Early Registration (Through October 11, 2026)
Run with the Spirits 5K- Adults- $35
Remembrance Walk- $25
Alebrijito Dash (Youth 12 & Under)- $10
Late Registration (Beginning October 12, 2026)
Run with the Spirits 5K- Adults- $40
Remembrance Walk- $30
Alebrijito Dash (Youth 12 & Under)- $15
Commemorative event shirts are guaranteed for:
Timed 5K participants registered by October 12 Walkers and Alebrijito Dash participants registered by October 2 A limited number of additional shirts will be available for purchase on race day while supplies last.
Awards Awards will be presented to:
Overall Male and Female Winners
Overall Masters Male and Female Winners
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Finishers in each age division
Age Divisions 0–10 | 11–14 | 15–19 | 20–29 | 30–39 | 40–49 | 50–59 | 60–69 | 70+
Día de los Muertos Costume Contes t Show your spirit and creativity by participating in our Día de los Muertos Costume Contest.
Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 costumes and makeup designs that best celebrate the tradition and culture of Día de los Muertos.
Pets are welcome to join the fun and may participate in costume festivities as well.
