DIA DE LOS MUERTOS HALF MARATHON & 5K RUN/WALK (BAKERSFIELD) 2026

The race.

The Día de los Muertos Half Marathon & 5K takes place on October 24, 2026, at Yokuts Park in Bakersfield. Participants can choose from a 13.1-mile half marathon, 3.1-mile 5K, 2-mile speed walk, or kids fun run. The half marathon starts at 7:00 a.m., kids races at 7:45 a.m., and the 5K and 2-mile walk at 8:00 a.m. Bib pickup and late registration occur on race day from 5:45 to 7:45 a.m. at the park. Finishers receive medals, shirts or medal hoodies (depending on registration date), and awards in age groups for the 5K and half marathon, plus top-10 overall awards in the half marathon. Refreshments include coffee, hot chocolate, tacos, and pan dulce.
