The race.
The Discovery Dash takes place October 10, 2026, at Discovery Park of America in Union City, TN, featuring a 1-mile fun run, 5K (3.11 miles), and 10K (6.2 miles). The 10K starts at 8 a.m., the 5K at 8:30 a.m., and the 1-mile fun run at 9 a.m., with registration from 6:30–7:45 a.m. and an awards ceremony at 9:30 a.m. The 5K and 10K offer awards by gender in eight age categories (12 and under through 70 and over); finishers receive certificates and winners receive medals. Early registration (by August 31) costs $25 for the 5K or 1-mile fun run and $30 for the 10K, each including a race shirt and two complimentary park admissions. After August 31, prices increase to $30 and $35 respectively, with shirts available while supplies last.
