The race.

The Dog Days of Summer takes place August 8, 2026, in Longmont, Colorado, featuring a 3.5-mile race and 1K option around Lake McIntosh on a half paved, half dirt course. The event starts and finishes at Dawson Neighborhood Park. Participants can register for an optional Wag Wave add-on, with proceeds supporting the Longmont Humane Society, which also receives a portion of all race proceeds. The event includes vendors, music, and games at the park location.
