Donate Life NC Hero Run 2026

The race.

The Donate Life NC Hero Run takes place September 13, 2026, in Durham, NC, on the American Tobacco Trail. Participants can choose from a 5K run/walk/roll ($35), 1-mile fun run ($20), or Sleep In Superhero option ($25 for remote participation). The race starts and finishes at Herndon Park, with parking available at 511 Scott King Road. The 5K includes a t-shirt, timing chip bib, and post-race refreshments; the 1-mile includes a bib and post-race party; Sleep In Superheroes receive a t-shirt by mail. Awards go to top male and female finishers overall in the 5K and by age group (10 and under through 70+). Proceeds support organ, eye, and tissue donation awareness and education statewide.
