About the race
The race.
The Down Syndrome Awareness Walk takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Belmont Park in Warwick, Rhode Island. Registration begins at 10:00 AM with the 1-mile walk starting at 12:00 PM. Participants who register before September 20th receive a free event t-shirt. Registration includes access to the Family Fun Festival, which follows the walk and features music, games, and entertainment. Proceeds support Down Syndrome Society of Rhode Island programs including advocacy, education, and community services.
