Dr. Mary's Legacy Run, held September 12, 2026, in West Chester, PA, features a 5K run and family walk organized by Community Volunteers in Medicine to honor Dr. Mary Wirshup, the organization's former Medical Director. The event includes a Kids Fun Run prior to the main 5K. Awards are given to the top three overall runners, top male and female finishers in age groups spanning 1–19 through 60–99 years, and winners in costume, team size, and fundraising categories. All event proceeds support CVIM's provision of free comprehensive health care to uninsured working adults with low incomes in the Chester County region.
