The race.
The Dr. O Memorial 5K Walk/Run takes place Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Lewis Center, Ohio. Participants can choose between a 5K run or a 1-mile walk. Race proceeds benefit the Mount Carmel Street Medicine program, which provides no-cost medical care to uninsured and underinsured individuals across central Ohio. The event honors Dr. John O'Handley, who served as Medical Director of Street Medicine for over 25 years. Donations of gently used hoodies, athletic pants, and tennis shoes for men and women are collected on race day, with donors entered into a raffle drawing.
