Eagle River Triathlon 2026

The race.

The Eagle River Triathlon takes place June 27, 2026, in Chugiak, Alaska, and serves as the USA Triathlon Alaska State Championship. Race options include Olympic Distance (1500M swim, 40K bike, 10K run), Sprint Distance (500-yard swim, 20K bike, 5K run), Sprint Duathlon (1-mile trail run, 20K bike, 5K run), and two Kids Triathlon distances. Swim events use Chugiak High School pool lanes; the bike course features rolling terrain with multiple turns; the run course travels between the Chugach range and Glenn Highway. Kids races include a Long Course (300-yard swim, 2-mile bike, 1.2-mile run) and Short Course (50-yard swim, 1-mile bike, 0.6-mile run). Relay team options are available for Sprint and Olympic distances with teams of two to three racers. Proceeds benefit A.B.A.T.E. of Anchorage, a motorcycle advocacy and training nonprofit.
