Electric City Gobbler Thanksgiving Day Tradition 2026

The race.

The Electric City Gobbler takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, in Anderson, SC, starting at Anderson Mall Main Entrance on Clemson Boulevard. Three distances are offered: a 5K on a certified city street course, a 1-mile fun run looped around the mall, and a new 1-mile time trial called Tail Feathers on Fire with staggered start times at 8:00, 8:02, and 8:30 AM. Packet pickup occurs Wednesday, November 25th from noon to 6 PM. All finishers receive medals and hydration; souvenir race shirts are available for an additional fee. The 5K awards top three finishers in male and female overall, masters, and grandmasters categories, while the time trial awards top three in overall male and female divisions plus 14 age groups ranging from 10 and under through 80+. Proceeds benefit Operation Active Kids Program, a community scholarship initiative.
