The race.
The Ellis County Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026, at Getzendaner Park Trail in Waxahachie, Texas. Participants can choose from three distances: a 3.1-mile 5K, a 6.2-mile 10K, or an 8-mile run/walk. The race begins at 6:45 AM, with shirt and medal pickup starting at 6:00 AM. Registration costs $35 per participant. All finishers receive a commemorative shirt and medal; registration must be completed by November 5 to guarantee these items.
