The race.
The Emerald Mountain Trail Run takes place October 3, 2026, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, as the final race of the Steamboat Springs Running Series pointed season. Participants can choose between a 12K distance (approximately 7.75 miles) or a 4-mile run, both starting at the base of Howelsen Hill and traversing Emerald Mountain on single-track terrain. The 12K course welcomes hikers alongside runners. Series winners will be announced at the event, and awards will be presented to those in attendance. This race benefits the Boys & Girls Club.
