Empire State Half Marathon & 5k 2026

The race.

The Empire State Half Marathon and 5K takes place on October 4, 2026, in Congers, NY, featuring a USATF-certified loop course around Rockland Lake. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. and the half marathon at 9:00 a.m. Both distances award medals to the top three finishers in each of eleven 5-year age groups (19 and under through 70+), with half marathon age group winners also receiving ice cream. Finishers receive tech race shirts and medals. Three aid stations provide water and Gatorade along the course. Bib pickup is available Friday 5–7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at Road Runner Sports in Paramus, or Sunday morning at the race site. Arrive before 8 a.m. to avoid the park admission fee.
