About the race

The race.

The Fairfax Egg Run takes place on August 1, 2026, in Fairfax, Vermont, offering a 5K run, 10K run, and 1K fun run for participants of all ages, including a kids' fun run for those 12 and under. The course features rolling hills. Finishers receive a race T-shirt and can enjoy made-to-order omelets with locally sourced ingredients and other refreshments after the race. Awards go to the top three finishers in each distance and age group. Race proceeds benefit the Fairfax Community Center Restoration Project. Early-bird registration discounts are available through June 1. The race is chip-timed by 802 Timing, and all registrants are entered into a post-race raffle. The Egg Run is the final event in the Franklin County Triple Crown; participants who complete all three races in the series receive a commemorative item and raffle entry.
