The race.
The Fall Backyard Burn Trail Run takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, VA. Runners can choose between a 5.1-mile single-lap course or a 10-mile double-lap course, both featuring singletrack trails with approximately 300 feet of elevation gain on the shorter distance. The course includes rocks and roots along most trails. Registration includes an opportunity to support Homestretch, a local nonprofit serving area families, with donations collected during sign-up.
