The race.
The Fast & Furriest 5K takes place on October 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM along the Sugar River Trail in New Glarus, Wisconsin, with registration opening at 8:30 AM. This 5K run/walk benefits the Green County Humane Society, with all proceeds supporting the organization's animal care programs. Participants may bring leash-trained dogs for an additional $10 fee, and participating dogs receive a GCHS bandana. The event includes live music and refreshments for runners and dogs alike. Registration closes September 25 to guarantee a race shirt. All participants help support food, medical care, and shelter for animals at the humane society.
