For The Wild 5K/10K+ 2026

The race.

For The Wild 5K/10K+ supports Wild Instincts, Inc., a wildlife rehabilitation center serving Wisconsin. The event takes place September 26, 2026, at Newbold Recreation Area in Rhinelander. Participants may run, walk, or bike the 5K or the 10K+ (10.9 kilometers/6.8 miles), with the 10K+ starting at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K at 9:05 a.m. Registration occurs from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. Entry fees are $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K+, with children 12 and under free. T-shirts are guaranteed to those registered by September 12th, and prizes go to the top two finishers in the 5K run, 10K+ run, and 10K+ bike categories.
