About the race
The race.
The Foundations 4 Hope 5K takes place October 3, 2026, at 8:00 am in Lexington, Kentucky, starting and finishing near Coldstream Dog Park and Legacy Trail. Participants can run or walk the 5K distance using chip timing. A Jerry Can relay option features three-person teams carrying water-filled containers (42 pounds for men's teams, 25 pounds for women's teams) throughout the course, with timing concluding when the can crosses the finish line. All ages are welcome to participate. Proceeds benefit Foundations for Hope's work supporting Christian leadership development, churches, clean water access, and medicine in East Africa.
