Friday Night Lights 5k 2026

The race.

The Friday Night Lights 5K takes place on August 21, 2026, at Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, SC, with the race starting at 6:30 p.m. and packet pickup beginning at 5:30 p.m. The 5K course starts with a downhill section, runs through local neighborhoods, and finishes near the park's amphitheater and farmers market pavilion; a 200-meter fun run for children 12 and under follows the main race start. Proceeds benefit the Travelers Rest High School Football program. Awards go to the top three finishers in each age group, with chip timing and live results provided. A City of Travelers Rest Police escort accompanies runners, and post-race activities include music and family entertainment. The course is stroller-friendly and walker-friendly.
