About the race
The race.
The FTC Short and Long Trail Run takes place September 12, 2026, at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park in Alachua, Florida. Runners choose between a 3.8-mile route or an 8.3-mile loop, both starting at the North Entrance along Progress Boulevard. Awards are given to overall male and female winners and the top three finishers in each 10-year age group. Refreshments and snacks are provided after the race. Florida Track Club members run free with a coupon code; non-members pay entry fees. State park parking is $4 per vehicle, $2 per bicycle, and free for Florida State Park pass holders.
