The Fuel to Fight Cancer 5Miler/5K/2Mile Walk takes place October 17, 2026, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, starting at 7:30 a.m. Participants can choose between a 5-mile run, a 5-kilometer run, or a 2-mile walk. A free kids fun run begins at 7:30 a.m. in The Healing Garden. Packet pickup is available Friday, October 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., or Saturday, October 17, from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Registration includes a race bib, t-shirt (guaranteed for entries received by October 5), refreshments, and chipped timing with real-time results. The 2-mile walk awards prizes to the top five overall finishers. Race categories span ages under 10 through 70 and older. One hundred percent of proceeds support transportation assistance for cancer patients at the Forrest General Cancer Center.
