GAF BEER MILE 2026

The race.

The GAF Beer Mile takes place on August 30, 2026, in Oregon, Ohio, as part of the German American Festival. Participants in the 1-mile beer mile consume four 12-ounce cans of beer while completing four quarter-mile running laps, with beer consumption occurring in a designated transition zone before each lap. A half-mile mini beer mile option requires running two quarter-mile laps while consuming two beers. Race heats begin at 2 p.m. and run every 15 minutes through 3:15 p.m., with a maximum of 30 runners per wave. Entry includes race bibs, beers, a t-shirt, and festival admission. The event uses Labatt Beer, and standard 355-milliliter cans are required.
