About the race
The race.
The Georgetown SUP-Athlon takes place on July 4, 2026, in Georgetown, Colorado. The event combines a half-mile paddleboard leg on a mountain lake, a 5.5-mile bike course through downtown Georgetown and up Saxon Mountain Road (paved and dirt sections), and a 5K run around Georgetown Lake. Participants receive one free beer ticket and are eligible for a paddleboard drawing. Personal flotation devices and bike helmets are required. The race concludes with celebrations at Cabin Creek Brewing, followed by access to the Georgetown July 4th parade and a BBQ in City Park.
