About the race
The race.
The Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K takes place December 20, 2026, at Walker Place Park in Bossier City, Louisiana. Runners can choose between a 5K or 10K distance, with a separate Kids Dash (50 meters) for children 10 and under. All finishers receive a holiday-themed race shirt and medal. Post-race refreshments include holiday cookies and milk available at the race rally tent. A DJ will provide entertainment and announce participants throughout the event. Water aid stations are positioned on the course. Youth pricing applies for runners 12 and under on the 5K and 10K distances. A costume contest with prizes is part of the event.
