Gobbler 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run 2026

The race.

The Gobbler 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run takes place on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026, in New Port Richey, Florida at Starkey Park. Participants can choose between a chip-timed 5K or a 1 Mile Fun Run for all ages. The 5K begins with staggered starts between 7:30–7:40 a.m., while the 1 Mile event welcomes runners of any age. All finishers receive a medal, poly dry-fit t-shirt, and backpack; 5K age group winners also earn placement trophies. Online registration closes November 23 at 8 a.m., though day-of registration is available. Packet pickup occurs Wednesday, November 25 from 4–6 p.m. at the Educational Center. All event proceeds benefit First Christian Academy. The course runs through the park with start and finish at the Educational Center; jogging strollers and leashed pets are welcome.
