The race.

The Going Bananas Run takes place on July 11, 2026, in Spring Park, Minnesota, featuring a 2-mile course through the Twin Cities area. Participants receive banana suits to wear during the race. Two minutes after the start, a person in a gorilla costume is released to chase runners. Finishers who beat the gorilla to the finish line receive a special prize. Proceeds from the event benefit Gold Together for Childhood Cancer.
