Grand Canyon Trail Marathon, Half-Marathon, & 5k Run/Walk 2026

The race.

On October 24, 2026, the Grand Canyon Trail Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K Run/Walk takes place in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona. Participants can choose from a 26.8-mile marathon, 26.4-mile marathon, 13.1-mile half-marathon, 13.4-mile half-marathon, 3.1-mile 5K, or virtual race and virtual challenge options. The in-person races traverse terrain in the Kaibab National Forest near the Grand Canyon South Rim, with the marathon and half-marathon combining sidewalk, forest jeep roads, and the Arizona Trail path, while the 5K runs mostly on paved Arizona Trail with some dirt forest road. Children and strollers are permitted for the 5K and half-marathon. The event is organized in partnership with the Town of Tusayan and Run Tucson.
