About the race
The race.
The Grand Rapids Kids Marathon welcomes children ages 2 to 12 to participate in this free event held on October 18, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Participants train over several weeks by logging 25 miles of running, walking, or activity, then complete the final 1.2 miles on race day at the official Grand Rapids Marathon course near the David D. Hunting YMCA. The race begins at 2:30 p.m., with packet pickup from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the DeVos Lot of WGVU. All registered runners receive a race bib and T-shirt, and all finishers earn a medal and certificate. Registration closes October 18, 2025.
