The race.

The Greene Labor Day 5K is a 5-kilometer road race held September 7, 2026, in Greene, NY. The wheel-measured, USATF-certified course starts and finishes at Greene Lions Club Park on Lions Park Lane. Check-in runs from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m., with the race starting at 9:00 a.m. rain or shine. Registration fees are $20 for early bird entries (deadline August 1) and $15 for youth ages 17 and under (deadline August 1); registrations after August 1 cost $25. All registrants receive a race shirt, $5 in Labor Day coupons for food and game booths, and entry into a door prize drawing. The race benefits the Greene Community Labor Day Picnic Association, a nonprofit focused on community enrichment. Chip timing, parking, restroom facilities, post-race refreshments, and awards are available at the pavilion.
