The race.
The 6th Annual Grow & Walk-A-Thon takes place August 9, 2026, in Philadelphia, PA, featuring a 5K and two shorter distances of 2.9 miles and 2.7 miles. The event begins at West Oak Lane Library on Washington Lane in Northwest Philadelphia and concludes at Awbury Park. Participants will pass neighborhood landmarks including a library, school, front yard gardens, recreation center, and park. A complimentary lunch and group celebration follow at the finish. The event is free for West Oak Lane residents; others pay on a sliding scale of $20–$40. A personal trainer will be on-site during the walk.
