The race.
Guess Your Time 2.5 Mile Race takes place August 19, 2026, in Yorktown Heights, NY. This free event is open to Taconic members only and features 2.5-mile and 3-mile distances. Participants guess their finishing pace before running; the runner closest to their predicted time wins. No electronic devices, including GPS watches and phones, are permitted during the race. Finishers receive Taconic shirts and pint glasses while supplies last. The event includes a club meeting with food and beverages following the race, and the winner receives prize money or shoes (to be announced), plus recognition from peers.
