The Halloween Trick or Trot Run on October 31, 2026, in New York City offers 5K and 10K distances organized by The Best Races. Participants can choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., with registration on a first-come, first-serve basis. All finishers receive a tech shirt (shipped to registered US addresses), finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway item, digital training pack, and online certificate of completion. Race bibs are distributed on race day, and optional timing is available through personal apps or coordinator assistance. A virtual run option is also available, allowing participants to complete the race at their chosen time and location. For every mile logged after the race, The Best Races donates $1 to partner charities.
