The race.
This 5K run/walk takes place July 11, 2026, in Hammond, NY, starting and finishing at the museum. Participants must wear a tartan kilt with an apron front and pleated back. Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m. with the race starting at 8:30 a.m., led by a bagpiper. The out-and-back course follows County Route 6 through farmland and past historic stone houses, with the turnaround at an 1830s Scottish stone home site.
