About the race
The race.
The Healthy Kids Running Series Fall 2026 in Key West is a five-week running program for children in grades 4–8. Participants in the 4th & 5th Grade and 6th to 8th Grade divisions each run 1 mile. Registration covers all five weeks and includes a race bib each week, a runner shirt, and a finisher medal awarded in week five. Trophies are given to overall top finishers in each division by gender. Single-day registration is available onsite one hour before each race for a reduced fee, though single-day participants do not receive a series shirt or qualify for overall scoring. An adaptive Challenger Division is available for children with disabilities and special needs.
