The Healthy Kids Running Series Fall 2026 in La Junta, CO is a five-week running program for children in PreK through 8th grade, held on September 27, 2026, with a makeup date of November 1, 2026. Age-appropriate distances include the 50-yard dash for ages 2–3, 75-yard dash for ages 4–5, quarter-mile for kindergarten and 1st grade, half-mile for 2nd and 3rd grade, and one-mile runs for 4th through 8th grade. A Challenger Division offers a 75-yard adaptive race for children with disabilities and special needs, allowing support persons and assistive devices on the course. Registration covers all five weeks and includes race bibs each week, a runner shirt, finisher medal, and sponsor giveaways. Overall top finishers in each division earn trophies; all participants receive a medal in week five.
